How long have you been in business?
Casa Chapala has been in business in Austin for four years. But we have over 25 years expirence in our industry.
What is your primary product or service?
We serve Authintic Central Mexican cuisine at our full service restaurant, and we also provide catering services.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
At a very young age Guadalupe Barragan general manager/owner knew he wanted to do something with food. This coming from the passion his mother showed while preparing her famous molcajete salsa and homemade tortillas. It's with this love of food that Lupe moved from Guadalajara, Mexico to Washington state. Where he worked his way up the restaurant ladder working at a family friends restaurant. It was also here where he met his right hand woman Lucina. After a couple of years of getting to know each other they decided to wed and open thier own venture Casa Chapala.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Casa Chapala is different from other restuarants in our cooking style because we offer interior flavors of Mexico. We prepare our roasted tomato, chile de arbol salsa table side to your spicy specifications, and you may not find our house specialty The Molcajete anywhere else in Austin, plus we have over 100 tequilas in our our bar to mix your perfect margarita. We also offer exclusive famous Tequila Dinners to show case our tequilas the third Thursday of the month.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
Currently we have two locations the first in North Austin and the second across from from the Four Seasons Hotel on the corner of Cesar Chavez and San Jacinto Blvd.

Casa Chapala is located two blocks east off North Mopac expressway. On the corner of Shoalcreek and West Anderson Lane. In the Creekside Square Shopping plaza. the second Casa Chapala Mexican Grill is across from the Four Seasons Hotel on the corner of San Jacinto Blvd. & Cesar Chavez
What type of payments do you accept?
We sccept Visa, Master Card and American Express credit cards, business checks and yes, cash id king.
Which areas do you service?
We service Asutin and surrounding areas through Dine on Demand delivery services, and cater through out Austin and Surrounding areas,if arrangments are made ahead of time.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
Casa Chapala is family owned and opperated, by Mr. Guadalupe Barragan, his wife Lucina, and thier daughter Corina. As well as thier attentative friendly staff.
What are your hours of operation?
Casa Chapala is open daily from 11AM-10PM Sunday through Thursday, and 11AM-11PM Friday and Saturday.
