How long have you been in business?
Texas Humane Heroes has been serving homeless pets and our community for over 32 years. Texas Humane Heroes (formerly known as the Humane Society of Williamson County) is a private, not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization founded in 1979, with adoption center locations in the Austin and Killeen/Fort Hood areas. Formed by the January 2013 merger of the Humane Society of Williamson County and the Cen-Tex Humane Society 2nd Chance Adoption Shelter, Texas Humane Heroes is 100% funded by donations, grants, and modest fees for service. Texas Humane Heroes receives no government funding.
What is your primary product or service?
Texas Humane Heroes is focused on high-volume pet adoption, low-cost spay/neuter and vaccination clinics, and pet retention services. HSWC also hosts many community events throughout the year.

Coming from the Georgetown/Round Rock area on I-35: Take the exit called Chandler Rd/1431. This is the same exit as the IKEA (exit # 256). Go west on 1431 for 6 miles to Parmer Ln. Turn right on Parmer. Go approximately 3 miles. You will see the Humane Society road sign. Turn left on County Road 272 (E. Crystal Falls Parkway). Continue down Crystal Falls Parkway for 1/2 mile. The Humane Society of Williamson County is on the left.
Coming from Pflugerville/North Austin on I-35: Take the Parmer Lane exit. Go approximately 15 miles west of I-35 on Parmer Lane. You will see the Humane Society road sign. Turn left on County Road 272 (E. Crystal Falls Parkway). Continue down Crystal Falls Parkway for 1/2 mile. The Humane Society of Williamson County is on the left.
Coming from Austin/Cedar Park on Highway 183/183A: We are approximately 12 miles north of the Arboretum area and 6 miles north of Lakeline Mall. Go north on 183/183A until you see County Road 272 (E. Crystal Falls Parkway), which is at a stoplight. Turn right (east). If you are coming from Highway 183, the Humane Society is approximately 2.2 miles down on the right. If you are coming from Highway 183A, the Humane Society is 1 mile down on the right.
Coming from NW Williamson County/Liberty Hill on Highway 183/183A: Go south on 183 or 183A until you see County Road 272 (E. Crystal Falls Parkway), which is at a stoplight. Turn left (east). If you are coming from Highway 183, the Humane Society is approximately 2.2 miles down on the right. If you are coming from Highway 183A, the Humane Society is 1 mile down on the right.
