Our new name Ao5 Gallery, is a contemporary update to our identity, reflecting our south Austin style while still paying homage to our 5th Street roots. We always feature multiple vignettes of emerging and established artists. Our original film poster collection is unmatched anywhere else in Texas, and our collection of the Secret Art of Dr. Seuss is the largest in the nation! With over 7,000 square feet to explore, this museum-like space is sure to please art lovers of any age.

How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Since opening our doors on West 5th Street in downtown Austin, we have exhibited a diverse collection of work, from Salvador Dali to Andy Warhol. In 2018 for our 20th Anniversary, we have changed our name from ART on 5th to Ao5 Gallery. This new name is a more contemporary update to our identity, reflecting our south Austin style while still paying homage to our 5th Street roots. We always feature multiple vignettes of emerging and established artists. Our original film poster collection is unmatched anywhere else in Texas, and our collection of the Secret Art of Dr. Seuss is the largest in the nation! With over 7,000 square feet to explore, this museum-like space is sure to please art lovers of any age.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We currently have only one location on South Lamar Blvd, just north of Hwy 290/71. We are looking forward to expanding in the future.

From I-35 heading south from downtown Austin:
Exit 290/71 West towards Johnson City, heading west Take the exit for Lamar Blvd/West Gate Blvd. Turn right onto South Lamar Blvd, heading north. We are one mile up on the right, just past the Broken Spoke. Turn in where you see Torchy’s Tacos or Kerbey Lane Café
What are your hours of operation?
Monday – Wednesday: 10am – 6pm
Thursday – Friday: 10am – 8pm
Saturday: 10am – 6pm
Sunday: 12pm – 5pm
Admission is always free.
