Bats are critical to the health of our planet. They eat agricultural pests, disperse seeds and pollinate over 100 species of plants. Austin's bats are the lucky bats. They were almost eradicated. The work of BCI saved the Congress Ave. bats that now bring millions of tourism dollars in to the city and are the pride of Austin. Elsewhere in the country, 50% of America's bat populations are either endangered or declining. Through conservation, education and research, BCI is protecting these valuable creatures. But we need your support and donations. When you give to BCI, you are investing in fewer chemicals sprayed on our food and water, regeneration of our rain forests and pollination of both agricultural crops and native plants. In short, you are contributing to the health of our planet and the preservation of bats for your children and grandchildren to enjoy and benefit from.
