Psychotherapy for Individuals, Couples, and Families
The therapy process can be a life enriching experience. The rewards that can come from therapy include deepened insight and understanding into yourself and your loved ones, increased compassion for yourself and others, a deeper felt sense of self, expanded personal empowerment, more fulfilling relationships, forgiveness, and tranquility.
My intention as a therapist is to understand who you are and to appreciate how you have come to face your present circumstances. My desire is to work with you as you explore your innate strengths, to be your ally as you nurture your creativity which will help you see solutions as they naturally arise, and to support you as you uncover the growth potential that is inherent in all of life's challenges.
My therapy modalities include counseling individually, with couples, and with families. I work with you as a team, fostering empowerment in you and our relationship. I choose from a variety of therapy models, such as psychodynamic, self-psychology, self-relations, person-centered, transpersonal, cognitive behavioral therapy, and feminist theories, based on your needs and what feels most comfortable to you. My methods include focused listening, talk, analytical exploration, creative emotional work, relaxation exercises, visualization, deep emotional release, and dream work. I encourage your interests in outside healing efforts such as body work, exercise, nutrition, meditation, and readings.
My hope is to create a caring and trusting relationship with you, and an environment where you can be yourself, free of judgment, where you will be understood and enjoyed.
